MEET THE CRAFTSMAN
Scott Phillips
Scott Phillips began working with logs in 1977, when he helped his uncle build a hand-hewn log cabin in Montana. In 1987, Scott married and settled down in Schroon Lake, and shortly after, he started on his own log home. He bought a private, eight-acre wooded lot and carefully selected and hand-peeled each log for the house. No crane was used as he assembled nearly 100 logs. Scott enjoyed the work so much that he decided to start a business where he could make log accessories full-time. He founded Adirondack LogWorks in 1999 and has worked with each new customer since, not only enjoying the craftsmanship but also continuing his passion for helping people and providing great service.
MEET THE MASTER CRAFTSMAN
Jesus Christ
More important than Scott’s work is his relationship with Jesus Christ, the Master Craftsman. The Bible says, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus.” Just as Scott’s products are a reflection of his craftsmanship, he wants his life to reflect God’s love. God demonstrated His love by sending His Son, Jesus, to earth to bridge the gap between God and man. We are separated from God because of our sin. But God, in His love and mercy, sent Jesus to die in our place so we can live with Him in Heaven after our time on earth has ended. Scott accepted Jesus’ death as payment for his sin when he was 10 years old, and it has changed the course of his life! God’s free gift of sins forgiven now and Heaven later is available to all who believe. That’s the greatest gift of all!
